چکیده

We review recent results on the anomalous c-axis optical conductivity of several high temperature superconductors, both double layer and single layer materials. We find that the double layer materials are characterized by a narrow pseudogap in the normal state that is also responsible for the temperature dependence of the transport. In the single layer material the pseudogap is much broader and less well defined. In the superconducting state, in both double and single layer materials, there is a transfer of spectral weight from very high frequencies to the condensate delta function at zero frequency.

Gap States in HTSC by Infrared Spectroscopy

Recent infrared reflectance spectroscopy on high quality crystals of a number of HTSC systems shows that all have finite conductivity in the frequency region of the superconducting gap. Results on untwinned YBCO from a number of laboratories show that this absorption is not due to experimental problems or sample-to-sample variations. Other materials also show absorption features in the gap regi...

The Electronic Nature of High Temperature Cuprate Superconductors

We review the field of high temperature cuprate superconductors, with an emphasis on the nature of their electronic properties. After a general overview of experiment and theory, we concentrate on recent results obtained by angle resolved photoemission, inelastic neutron scattering, and optical conductivity, along with various proposed explanations for these results. We conclude by reviewing ef...

ابررساناهای دمای بالا- با دید نوترونها

Neutron scattering is proved to be a vital probe in unveiling the magnetic properties of high temperature superconductors (HTSC). Detailed information about the energy and momentum dependence of the magnetic dynamics of HTSC have been obtained directly by this technique. Over the past decade by improving the crystal growth methods, large and high quality single crystals of HTSC, which are ess...

Electron Phonon Interaction and Strong Correlations in High-Temperature Superconductors: One can not avoid unavoidable

The important role of the electron-phonon interaction (EPI) in explaining the properties of the normal state and pairing mechanism in high-Tc superconductors (HTSC) is discussed. A number of experimental results are analyzed such as: dynamical conductivity, Raman scattering, neutron scattering, ARPES, tunnelling measurements, isotope effect and etc. They give convincing evidence that the EPI is...

Conductivity of a strange metal: from holography to memory functions

We study the electrical response of a wide class of strange metal phases without quasiparticles at finite temperature and charge density, with explicitly broken translational symmetry, using holography. The low frequency electrical conductivity exhibits a Drude peak, so long as momentum relaxation is slow. The relaxation time and the direct current conductivity are exactly equal to what is comp...
